Hampstead Beach

This is beach where you can relax, rest on the shore and suntan. Sometimes you can swim here, but beware rough waters. It's isolated and adorned by beautiful greenery.

Located on the island of Dominica, You might want to drop by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. Seclusion and privacy are the features which most exemplify Dominica's beaches, but Hampstead Beach is a little different. You'll still find it has a calm, serene mood, but you can visit without sacrificing a fun and social atmosphere.

How to Access The Beach
This beach is on the northeast shore of Dominica. You can get closer in to the beach to park if you have a four wheel drive vehicle, be prepared for a hike if you don't.

Amenities and Ambiance

Hampstead Beach has all the elements of a paradise. It features lush greenery and palm trees behind you and crystalline waters endlessly lapping upon the shore. It's a tan and black sand shoreline. There are no facilities available here, so bring your own beach chair.

If you're suddenly hungry or thirsty, the concession stand at Hampstead Beach is the ultimate convenience. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to buy food from one of the mobile vendors who are typically found at this location.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot.
