The snack bar located at this spot is perfect for quick lunches and cold drinks, too. On some days, it may be possible to order some food from one of the mobile vendors who are generally found here.
Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot.

Hampstead Beach is in the Calibishie area, so travelers staying in town won't have far to go. The closest town is Calibishie, which is not lacking in exploration opportunities, yet also not overflowing with buildings. From the coast, Calibishie isn't far off, maybe three quarters of a mile (one and a quarter kilometers).
The mood here——social and lively, or virtually empty—— will vary depending on the time of day, particularly in the high season when hotels overflow with tourists. The area does not have very many large hotels, but you may encounter visitors from some of the smaller accommodations in the area.
