The views are incredible but the water is rough on L'Anse Noire Beach. There are adventurous people who snorkel and dive here, but be sure you're experienced if you're going to try it.
Positioned on the island of Dominica, You should consider dropping by regardless of whether you are staying very close. Though it's removed from some of the more heavily traveled areas, guests frequently find this a destination worthwhile since it has such a relaxed atmosphere.
A winding road runs as close to the shore as possible in this northeast corner of Dominica and offers easy access to most of the coastline here. L'Anse Noire is no exception, you should have no trouble with access.

The beach is wonderful, but the surrounding area has a lot to offer, too. Look for it on Dominica's North coast. Guests might consider staying at the Calibishie Cove, which is one of the most conveniently located lodging options accessible from L'Anse Noire, though you may not find too many other nearby attractions.
Calibishie is nearby and is in an area with plenty of worthwhile sites, while still remaining less developed and congested as some other places. From L'Anse Noire, Calibishie is a quick trip away, maybe two miles (three kilometers).
The popularity of this spot on any given day can vary, it depends on many factors: the time of sundown, happy hour, even how many of the nearby hotel rooms have been booked. L'Anse Noire is not located near many major hotels, but you may see guests staying at some of the area's smaller options.

Dominica has many beaches, so L'Anse Noire is just one of your options.
You might also enjoy Calibishie Beach, found just a little ways away. More active guests, though, may be interested in Woodford Hill Bay, which could provide a few more possibilities for excitement, and isn't far from additional things to do and see nearby. It's found a quarter mile to the east.
You might also want to visit Anse du Mai, located not too far away, which means a short cab ride will get you here pretty easily.
Dominica has a lot to offer its visitors, but L'Anse Noire is both a beautiful natural attraction, and a fun hangout spot.
