Although Magazine Beach is a public beach, the close proximity to Rex Resort makes it so that the populous of the beach on any given day is comprised almost entirely of resort guests. Still it is never overly crowded, so you can lay out and soak up the sun without fear of knocking into another guest.

Situated in the vicinity of St. George's, Magazine Beach is on the South West coast of Grenada. You should consider dropping by even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. The majority of Grenada's beaches are hidden gems with potential for deep relaxation. This atmosphere is blissful to some, but others need the kind of activity and variety you'll find at Magazine Beach.

How to Access The Beach
Magazine Beach is located behind Point Salines International Airport. It is accessible by following the main road past the airport near the Aquarium Restaurant.

Amenities and Ambiance

Pristine, almost pink colored sand lines the shore of Magazine Beach, which is backed by Rex Resort and dotted with palm trees. The water is warm, calm, and emerald green. Coral reef lies just off shore making it an excellent beach for snorkeling.

There is also a great restaurant right on-site if you're interested; many find it the perfect, convenient solution for lunch. There are several types of dining experiences to be enjoyed on Grenada, but eating at the beach can be especially fun. Sometimes, hotels offer to pack up on-the-go lunches for their guests. Or, on your way to the beach you could grab some carry-out from a casual dining spot.

If you're suddenly hungry or thirsty, the concession stand at Magazine Beach is the ultimate convenience. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to order some food from one of the local vendors who typically set up shop here.

Yes, there are public restrooms at Magazine Beach. Also, visitors can access lounge chairs at this beach. You'll find the waters off-shore to be clear enough for snorkeling, so purchase or rent some equipment if you've been hoping to get in some underwater exploration.

Remember to take into account that the immediate vicinity around Magazine Beach is an urban area, so you may find many people vying for the use of the same amenities.
