Although Magazine Beach is a public beach, the close proximity to Rex Resort makes it so that the populous of the beach on any given day is comprised almost entirely of resort guests. Still it is never overly crowded, so you can lay out and soak up the sun without fear of knocking into another guest.

Located in the vicinity of St. George's, Magazine Beach is on the South West coast of Grenada. You might want whether or not you are staying in the vicinity. Travelers who like to see and do as much as they can will like this beach due to its urban location. In fact, Magazine Beach would be great for guests staying in nearby hotels, and those who don't mind large groups of people.

How to Access The Beach
Magazine Beach is located behind Point Salines International Airport. It is accessible by following the main road past the airport near the Aquarium Restaurant.

Amenities and Ambiance

Pristine, almost pink colored sand lines the shore of Magazine Beach, which is backed by Rex Resort and dotted with palm trees. The water is warm, calm, and emerald green. Coral reef lies just off shore making it an excellent beach for snorkeling.

There is also a restaurant right on the water, so if you don't want to leave Magazine Beach at all, it's worth a try. Vacationers will find plenty of places on Grenada serving up delicious local cuisine, but not every meal needs to be eaten in a formal setting. Many visitors would sooner enjoy lunch on the sand, than lunch at a full-service restaurant. Did you know that many hotels are able to pack picnic lunches for their guests? Otherwise, there are plenty of walk-up vendors that offer hot, on-the-go food.

Many visitors find themselves ordering a drink or snack from the concessions here, even if they move off-site for lunch. On some days, it may be possible to buy some food from one of the mobile vendors who typically operate along this coastline.

This beach has public restrooms——something you'll appreciate if you spend more than a couple of hours here. Also, visitors can take advantage of lounge chairs at this destination. You'll find the waters off-shore to be clear enough for snorkeling, so grab some gear if you've been hoping to get in some underwater exploration.

However, you will want to see that even if there will be a few conveniences on location at Magazine Beach, it will be found inside a popular area that can get crowded. With that fact in mind, if you think the amenities are an important factor, it'll likely be a smart reason to make it there earlier in the day before most of the other people show up or go to a different beach away from the major areas. If not, you could possibly be unable to fully enjoy all those comforts that the beach offers.
