While visiting Pink Gin Beach, sunworshippers can enjoy a wide selection if watersports including snorkeling at the colorful coral reef formation. Beach goers can also find kayak rentals, a shopping center less than five miles away, and a fascinating volcanic crater lake. The wildlife here is also incredible with beautiful exotic birds and whale and dolphin watching.

Situated toward the western outskirts of the vicinity of St. George's, 1.2 miles west of Calliste, Pink Gin Beach is on the South West coast of Grenada. You might think about stopping by even if you aren't staying very close. If activity and variety isn't your thing, you'll be glad that many of Grenada's beaches are quiet and undisturbed. Then again, some vacationers seek out the loudest and the most active areas, and are better off trying a beach like Pink Gin Beach, with a more upbeat atmosphere.

How to Access The Beach
Located behind Point Salines International Airport, Pink Gin Beach is separated from the busy airport scene by some hills. It can easily be reached by driving past the airport to the far end of Maurice Bishop Memorial Highway.

Amenities and Ambiance

The clear waters of the horseshoe-shaped harbor at Pink Gin Beach are ideal for swimming, and the sands at this amazing beach are gorgeous, although they're not pink. It remains a mystery how this stretch of sand got its name.

Of course, you could always try the shoreside restaurant right on Pink Gin Beach, which is the ultimate convenience for beachgoers. There are an assortment of dining options on Grenada, but not every meal needs to be eaten in a formal setting. Some visitors, in fact, would rather eat lunch by the shoreline than in a different restaurant. Sometimes, hotels offer to pack up on-the-go lunches for their guests. Or, it would be easy to grab some hot food from a street vendor or casual cafe along the way.

The snack bar located at this spot is perfect for quick lunches and cold drinks, too.

Restrooms are available at Pink Gin Beach. It's also good to know that you will have access to chairs and umbrellas, so guests hoping for a relaxing spot in the shade will get their wish. Happily, the off-shore waters are clear and good for snorkeling, so grab your equipment if you're hoping to find some interesting marine life. To unwind and get away from it all, visit the little piece of paradise at Pink Gin Beach, which boasts quiet shores with a tranquil atmosphere.

Pink Gin Beach including its assortment of amenities are found well within a tourist hotspot. With this in mind, if you're sure that the amenities are a crucial feature, it is an appropriate cause to make it there earlier in the day before most of the other tourists come or try a beach further away. If you arrive later, you could run the risk of all the amenities being overcrowded.
