Playa Caracol is located in the heart of Cancun's hotel zone, which is one of the most popular spots in Cancun. The central location of Playa Caracol makes this beach a hot spot with those vacationers who want to be close to it all. While visiting this beach, you'll be close to several fine restaurants as well as great shopping areas.

Set on the northern outskirts of Cancun Beach Hotel Zone, Playa Caracol is on the East coast of Mexico. You might think about stopping by whether or not you're staying very close. Although Playa Caracol is not the most secluded beach in Cancun, it offers just enough privacy to attract small crowds.

How to Access The Beach

Playa Caracol is located at the end of Boulevard Kukulkan.

Amenities and Ambiance

Playa Caracol's calm waters and gentle surf make for excellent snorkeling conditions, one of the many attributes that draw visitors to the beach. Others include blindingly white sand and turquoise water.

There is also a concession stand available. You may also have the option to purchase food from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up on this shoreline.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside. You'll appreciate that showers are available, so you can clean up before leaving. Families flock to these shores because of the beach's flat seabeds, which make for easy swimming, especially for children.

Playa Caracol plus its available amenities and services are of course located inside an area popular among tourist. What this means is that if you feel that these amenities influence your decision, it'll likely be an appropriate reason to make it there in the morning before the other tourists come or perhaps try a beach further away. If not, you might be unable to fully use all those comforts which Playa Caracol has to offer.
