Playa Caracol is located in the heart of Cancun's hotel zone, which is one of the most popular spots in Cancun. The central location of Playa Caracol makes this beach a hot spot with those vacationers who want to be close to it all. While visiting this beach, you'll be close to several fine restaurants as well as great shopping areas.

Located in Cancun Beach Hotel Zone, Playa Caracol is on the East coast of Mexico. You might think about stopping by even if you are not staying in the immediate vicinity. If you can't wait to escape the stresses of city life, you'll appreciate that Cancun has plenty of secluded beaches. This atmosphere is not for everyone, though. If you seek a fun and active spot, you're better suited for one of the few lively beaches, like Playa Caracol.

How to Access The Beach
Playa Caracol is located at the end of Boulevard Kukulkan.

Amenities and Ambiance

Playa Caracol's calm waters and gentle surf make for excellent snorkeling conditions, one of the many attributes that draw visitors to the beach. Others include blindingly white sand and turquoise water.

The concession stand located here is another lunchtime alternative. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to buy some food from one of the mobile vendors who are generally found here.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. Shower facilities are available here, so you can rinse off before heading back to your hotel. Families flock to these shores because of the beach's flat seabeds, which make for easy swimming, especially for children.

Playa Caracol plus its available comforts are found within a relatively urbanized region. If you are no fan of busy beaches, it should be a decent motivator to plan ahead to beat all the other tourists, perhaps having your beach visit in the morning. If not, you could find all those comforts being overcrowded.
