Rough waves make swimming and some watersports too dangerous in this region, but there are still a number of beachside activities at the Playa Delfines for vacationers to enjoy. These rarely frequented sands are a great place for a game of beach volleyball or football.

Located in Cancun Beach Hotel Zone, Playa Delfines is on the East coast of Mexico. You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. While there are certainly more secluded beaches in Cancun than Playa Delfines, it has the right combination of charm and personality to attract beachgoers.

How to Access The Beach
As Boulevard Kukulcán curved into a hill at Km 18 near Ruinas del Rey is where you will find Playa Delfines.

Amenities and Ambiance

The picturesque shores of the Playa Delfines are excellent for a myriad of beach activities. Located just south of Chacmool, this coastline features breathtaking views, cool island breezes, and spectacular sand dunes.

Many visitors find themselves ordering a drink or snack from the concessions here, even if they move off-site for lunch. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to purchase food from one of the mobile vendors who typically operate along this coastline.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. Although Playa Delfines is a public beach, this coastline is hardly ever crowded, making it the perfect getaway spot for an afternoon picnic or romantic walk. If you're looking for a private place to sunbathe, this is the right beach for your retreat.

Be mindful that Playa Delfines's immediate surroundings are rather congested, so plan accordingly.
