Needless to say, there are other beaches in Mexico besides Playa Tortugas worth visiting.
You may also like Playa Paraiso, a popular beach beloved by tourists. It is located six miles to the north. If it's solitude and tranquility you're seeking, Playa Caracol is an area removed from some more heavily-traveled spots. You'll find it only a short distance away.
Another location you may want to try is Playa Garrafon, which is located five and a half miles away.
Of course, there are lots of other things to do and see in Cancun; then again, Playa Tortugas is both a relaxing, sunny hangout and a stunning natural feature.
