One of the longest operating scuba centers in the area, Scuba Cancun opened over 30 years ago and has been training and diving with people from around the world ever since. The facility family owned and operated, with Captain Luis Hurtado at the helm -- a man who has been diving both commercially, for the military, and for sport for over 60 years.
Scuba Cancun takes off every morning at 10:00 a.m. for a two tank dive which visits two different local reefs and then returns to the center by 2:00 p.m. These reefs range from 40 to 60 feet deep, and the center only allows six divers for every Divemaster on the boat. One tank dives leave in the afternoon at 2:15 p.m.
Scuba Cancun specialized in basic scuba diving training and referrals only. This means once you have completed Discover Scuba Diving for $95, the PADI Scuba Diver Certification course for $316, or the PADI Open Water course for $442(USD) you'll have to begin your training elsewhere. Once the book learning and basic training is gone, you can complete the certification process with open water dives in a Referral Course for $145(USD).
From there two tank dives are $65 to $77, and one tank dives are $50 to $62(USD).
