Whether you're planning a quick day trip to revel in the subdued nature of Carriacaou or your entire getaway will take place on this hideaway island, local ferry services can be of some use to you.
Rather than fly to Grenada then switch to a domestic flight, many visitors choose to go the more scenic – and certainly least expensive – route, sailing from Osprey Ferry Dock on Grenada to Carriacou Coastal Pier to reach their destination.
There are several different ferry services that operate from Carriacou, the most popular of which is the Osprey Express. This modern, high speed catamaran offers a 90 minute trip between Carenage in Saint George's and Grenada's sister isle several times a day for just $37(USD) one way for adults and $30(USD) for children. Continuing service is available to Petite Martinique as well.
Another ferry brings tourists to Union Island inMonday through Thursday for $7.50(USD) each way. The trip lasts about one hour, leaving from Union Island at 7:30 a.m. and Carriacou at 12:30 p.m.
