White Island

Just a half a mile of the southern coast of Carriacou is the small White Island. At just 10 acres, the island is uninhabited, but makes for a great day trip locale for those who want to spend some time snorkeling and relaxing on a quiet stretch of sand.

Located on the southern edge of the island of Carriacou, You should consider stopping by whether or not you're staying particularly close by. If you plan to sunbathe or take a nap on a fairly secluded beach, you should check out White Island, a pretty, but less popular part of the coast.

How to Access The Beach
White Island can be accessed by boat from Belmont on Carriacaou. The trip costs between $25 and $30(USD) round trip.

Amenities and Ambiance

Nearly the entire coast is snaked with white sand and crystal clear water that ranges in color from topaz to navy blue. Coral reefs exist off shore for snorkeling, while inland guests will have views of hilly areas.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. You'll find the waters off-shore to be fit for snorkeling, so grab your gear if you are looking to do some underwater exploration.

If you go for beaches which bring guests a relaxing experience, then think about trying out White Island; it is tucked away in a more natural sector of Carriacou.
