Eight miles of secluded pink and white sand beaches is what you get on Cat Island. New Bight Beach is best liked among locals, while Fountain Bay Beach is great for snorkeling. If you're after just a little sunning and swimming, any of the other beaches that surround the small isle will do just fine.
You'll find a large selection of beaches to consider visiting on the island. If you are hoping to enjoy some peace and quiet, you may be pleasantly surprised, some of these beaches are relatively secluded and quiet. Pigeon Cay Beach: Pigeon Cay Beach is located about a half a mile off Queen's Highway on the east coast.
Another alternative worth considering is Bat Hole Beach. Bat Hole Beach is backed by miles of thick green forest, which leads right up to the white sands. Rolling ashore are deep blue waters with slightly choppy waters.
Orange Creek Beach: Fishing and snorkeling are great throughout Cat Island, but along the north shores is where you will find the best spots for both activities. Orange Creek Beach is a great jumping off point for snorkeling and fishing, as well as sunning and swimming.
