Feel like the only person on the island at this isolated beach at the tip of one of the Bahamas' majestic Out Islands.
Located on the northeastern part of Arthurs Town, Camperdown Beach is on the North West edge of Cat Island. You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. This beach is not just another pleasant piece of the coast, it's one of the rare "quiet" beaches in the Bahamas. While Camperdown Beach may be a little farther away, it's the best place to take an undisturbed nap on the sand.
Follow the west-bound route from Arthur's Town Airfield through the wilderness all the way to the opposite coast.
The beach is long, thin, and remote. Jungle covers the interior on the northern part of Cat Island, so don't expect anything in the way of facilities, but do expect peace and solitude. The water is as stunning as any other in the Caribbean, but the surf can be rough at times.
Please note that public restrooms are not available, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.
Camperdown Beach offers a calm and serene enclave, as the surrounding region contains little build-up and is free of urbanization.
Camperdown Beach is on the North West coast of Cat Island. Guests might consider staying at the Boggie Pond Lodge, which is perhaps the most conveniently located place to stay reachable from Camperdown Beach, though you may not find too many other popular spots in the region.
It may take some traveling to get there, but is the closest town. though you may find some small-scale towns nearer to the beach.
Whether or not you encounter a lot of other visitors will depend on if you visit during a popular season, which is often indicated by how busy the hotels are. There aren't many large hotels nearby, but it's often visited by guests from smaller lodgings in the area.

It's no problem if you start to get the munchies while hanging out at Camperdown Beach; you'll have a variety of choices within a few miles. One of the nearest restaurants is. The restaurant serves Caribbean food. They're perhaps most famous, though, for their seafood.
