Camperdown Beach

Feel like the only person on the island at this isolated beach at the tip of one of the Bahamas' majestic Out Islands.

Located in Arthurs Town, Camperdown Beach is on the North West edge of Cat Island. You might want even if you are not staying very close. There are plenty of advantages to visiting a beach that hasn't been "discovered" by thousands of tourists; secluded parts of the coast like Camperdown Beach let you escape people-watchers and rowdy beachgoers.

How to Access The Beach
Follow the west-bound route from Arthur's Town Airfield through the wilderness all the way to the opposite coast.

Amenities and Ambiance

The beach is long, thin, and remote. Jungle covers the interior on the northern part of Cat Island, so don't expect anything in the way of facilities, but do expect peace and solitude. The water is as stunning as any other in the Caribbean, but the surf can be rough at times.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business.

If you usually go for shores that grant an idyllic place to escape, then a good choice for you is Camperdown Beach; it is tucked away in a much quieter sector of Cat Island.
