Snorkeling Around Cat Island

The coast of Cat Island is surrounded by beaches of pink and white sands with shallow reef systems ringing the island, making it the perfect destination for a snorkeling fanatic.  Even better still, the reefs of this island are virtually unexplored,  making them pristine and quiet.

Great snorkeling off Cat Island is often possible after a short swim from the shore, but for the best sites you'll want to hire a small boat to take you out a little further away.  Here you will encounter not only an abundance of glorious coral and the reef fish that inhabit it, but blue holes, crevices, and more.  The marine life to be seen here includes mangroves, sponges, sea fans, sea turtles, grouper, and many other species of colorful fish.
