An island that measures just four miles long, you may not expect to find much in the way of attractions on Caye Caulker -- and you would be right. The pace of life here is slow-going, and once on the island most people spend their days doing little more than relaxing.

Beaches

Ambergris Caye Southeast

You'll find a handful of beaches to choose from, though they are all located just outside of Caye Caulker. Click on the beach names for more detail concerning that beach.

Ambergris Caye Southeast: The Ambergris Caye's beaches are relatively small even at low tide, making the area difficult to recommend for swimming. Still, in 2014 Fodors ranked it as one of the top 15 beaches in the Caribbean.

A second place that beach-goers can consider is Debbie's Beach. Finding Debbie' sBeach is not too hard, as there is only one main road on the Ambergris Cay. Taking the road north out of San Pedro, the road is located a little after Ak'bol Yoga Retreat and should be the third right after that.

Of course, you will find even more beaches to choose from near the island. To read a more detailed discussion of beaches, click here.

Natural Attractions

Hol Chan Marine Reserve

Caye Caulker North Point Sanctuary Forest Reserve is one of the outdoor attractions that's enjoyed by many visitors. Declared a nature reserve in 1998, Caye Caulker North Point Sanctuary is a great spot to learn about how animals in one of the marshy areas of Belize live.

Another attraction to consider visiting is Hol Chan Marine Reserve. Just off the coast of Ambergris Caye is the oldest marine reserve in Belize, the Hol Chan Marine Reserve.

Caye Caulker has some other nature attractions. Those needing to get more details concerning natural attractions on and around Caye Caulker, can do so by going to this page.

Casinos

Belize Casinos

Vacationers do not generally stay on Caye Caulker for its gambling opportunities, but there is one to check out nearby, The Palace Casino.
The only spot in San Pedro to offer casino style gambling is the Palace Casino on Pescador Drive and Caribena Street. Friendly service by a staff that is cheering you on all the way makes this one of the most supportive casinos you'll ever encounter.
