Peter's Cave

Great from both a historical and natural perspective, Peter's Cave is a great hiking destination, the end point of a scenic drive, one of the island's top North Wall dive spots, and a past hurricane and flood shelter for islanders.

Peter's Cave is accessible via a rocky hike, but you can drive there as well. Many people visit because of the unique history, which is that many islanders have used this cave as a hideout during hurricanes and floods since it was first discovered. In fact, many current residents maintain that if it weren't for this cave protecting their ancestors, they wouldn't be here now.
