The calm, clear waters of Pinney's Beach are perfect for just about everything. From swimming to water sports, visitors can enjoy it all. There's plenty of room to sunbathe on the golden sands or take a romantic stroll at the water's edge. Pinney's is considered the best beach on Nevis, but with four miles of sand to spread out on, it never gets too crowded. You can stay for as long as you want, too, as this public beach is open 24 hours.

Located on the southern edge of Saint Thomas Lowland Parish, Pinney's Beach is on the West edge of Nevis. You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. The beaches found throughout St. Kitts tend to be pretty quiet, but Pinney's Beach stands out as a pleasant exception to this rule.

How to Access The Beach
Located in between Charlestown and Nelson's Spring on the west coast of Nevis, you can get here by by car or by boat. If in the car, take Pinney's Rd north from Charlestown and take your first left to the shore where you'll find Chevy's Calypso Bar & Grill.

Amenities and Ambiance

Pinney's Beach stretches for miles along the Caribbean coast of Nevis. Soft white sands line the beach, as well as swaying palms and coconut trees. The golden sands lead down to the sparkling blue, crystal clear water of the Caribbean. Protected by a reef, the water remains very calm.

Of course, you could always try the shoreside restaurant right on Pinney's Beach, which is the ultimate convenience for beachgoers. Each country in the Caribbean has its own style of cuisine, and St. Kitts is no different. One of the most enjoyable places to enjoy delicious local specialties is right on the water. So, you may wish to consider getting pre-packed lunches from your hotel if they offer them. Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.

If you're suddenly hungry or thirsty, the concession stand at Pinney's Beach is the ultimate convenience. If available, you could also get lunch from one of the local vendors who set up shop at the beach.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. Pinney's Beach is one of the most popular on the island, but with four miles of sand to spread out on, it never gets crowded.

Since Pinney's Beach happens to be located in an active, busy area, you might need to hunt to get a spot!
