Pirate's Treasure Museum

Featuring authentic artifacts and worldwide treasures, this shipwreck museum offers two stories of interesting, interactive exhibits full of history. Pirates Treasure Museum aims to engage visitors in the history of shipwrecks surrounding the Virgin Islands in a fun and informative manner.

Exhibits

The museum showcases artifacts from the famous Odyssey Marine Exploration as well as other shipwrecks found around the islands. There are 5 exhibits at the museum. Shipwrecks Around the World features 3 different shipwrecks, some of which date back the to 17th century. You can learn the history and view the treasures these ships carried. They also have an exhibit dedicated solely to the Virgin Island Shipwrecks. The Extreme Weather exhibit features fun and interactive exhibits demonstrating the forces of weather that might take such ships down, like the winds of a hurricane. The Deep Sea Technology exhibit allows you to go on a virtual deep dive and view a replica of the Remotely Operated Vehicle sent underseas. Lastly, the Pirate Encounter exhibit features interactive experiences like how to tie knots, virtually dressing up like a pirate, and even experience pirate punishment on the brig.

If you'd like some treasures to bring home for yourself as memorabilia, visit the on-site gift shop for some merchandise. Trinkets, clothing, and replicas are sold there.
