What you'll notice about taxis in Chetumal is that they are small hatchbacks that can only hold three to four passengers at a time. They are white with an orange stripe down the side, and each will have a four digit number on the door that you can use as a reference number in case you would like to call the taxi company later to request the same driver, report lost items, or give the company feedback about your driver.
Taxis can typically be found near the airport, busy restaurants, shopping centers, and busy tourist attractions. If you're out and about and don't see a taxi on the street, you should be able to call one of the companies listed below and they can send someone to pick you up.
