The Chub Cay Marina is also an official port of entry in the Bahamas, which means you won't have to make any extra stops along the way. Flying your yellow quarantine flag, you can sail directly to the island. Call ahead on VHF Channel 16 to notify customs, who will meet you when you dock to review the boats documentation and have everyone aboard fill out immigration forms. After everyone has been cleared, you'll pay between $150 and $300(USD) based on the length of your boat, for a cruising and fishing permit, as well as your departure fee. This covers five passengers, and you will need to pay extra if there are more people aboard. Once that is taken care of, everyone aboard is free to leave the vessel and begin their island vacation.
