Museo de Arte Contemporaneo is one of the premier fine arts museums in Puerto Rico, offering a collection of contemporary works from Latin America and the Caribbean, with a focus on Puerto Rican artists. Visitors are encouraged to come and view some of the most poignant pieces of art work in existence when they tour this museum.
There are over 900 pieces of art work in the permanent collection at Museo de Arte Contemporaneo, but only a small fraction of that is put on display at any one time. This, coupled with a number of rotating exhibits keeps the museum fresh and worth visiting during each trip to Puerto Rico.
As you tour the museum, you will encounter works by Puerto Rican, Caribbean, and Latin American artists that speak on a wide variety of subjects, though one cannot help by notice the number of works that ave a political message hidden within the canvas.

There is a small collection of closely located outdoor activities to partake in when you are not taking in Museo de Arte Contemporaneo. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. It is also open on Sundays from noon until 4:00pm.
Admission into the museum is $5(USD) for adults ages 18 and up, or $3(USD) for children between ages five and 17. People who are 60 years old or have disabilities are free of charge.
