One of the newest eateries on St. John, Oasis is owned and operated by Karin Granitz formerly of the restaurant at Maho Bay. Everything is made fresh and from scratch by Granitz, yet everything on the menu is kept affordable.
The menu at Oasis is simple, yet remains what you would call comfort food. The menu changes daily, but you will always find beef or pork, seafood, a vegetarian offering, and poultry along with a selection of about 20 side dishes.
Coral Bay Caribbean Oasis is a bar and grill that offers Caribbean and soul food cuisines, as well as chicken. When it comes to dress code and level of service, this restaurant's setting is very casual. The option to eat here is on the table during dinner only, so don't miss out.
Oasis offers a warm, home-style environment, yet it is the only place on the island with a drive-thru window.
Set toward the center of Coral Bay, It is at 10-41 Estate Carolina.
Consider combining your restaurant visit with some excellent sightseeing possibilities by patronizing one of the many attractions in the vicinity, including Emmaus Moravian Church.
Other than the food, something else you might like about the vicinity is Waterlemon Beach, a beach where guests can work on their tans and work up their appetites.
If you are looking for a local restaurant with similar types of food and/or a similar atmosphere, there is no lack of nearby dining spots to choose from, including Sweet Plantains. You can find it a quarter mile from Coral Bay Caribbean Oasis.
But of course, if you want something a little different, this part of St. John has an excellent selection of restaurants that will surely satisfy nearly every type of diner. For instance, you can try American fare at Pickles in Paradise, which is a short distance away away.
Main courses cost $9(USD) and sides are $3(USD) a piece.
You can dine at Oasis from 4:00 p.m. until they've sold out Tuesday through Sunday.
