One of the forms of transportation to consider as you plan a trip to Corozal is the bus. Belize is not known for its extensive local bus systems, but you can use this option to travel throughout the country and make this town just one of several places you get to see during your visit.
The bus station in Corozal is located on West Collet Canal Street, but don't show up expecting to take a short trip around town. Buses in Belize connect cities rather than streets, and they are perhaps the cheapest way to experience inter-city travel. Trips are available about every half hour between 5:30 a.m.7:30 p.m. And make their way to and from Belize City, Orange Walk, and the Mexican border. Fares range between $3 and $10(USD) depending on how far you'll travel.
|Route||Beginning||Stops Along the Route||End|
|Intercity Northbound to Santa Elena||Belize City Terminal||Orange Walk Bus Terminal, Corozal Bus Terminal||Santa Elena Bus Terminal|
While you may not be able to use this mode of transportation to get around once you arrive, , if you want to get to Corozal without spending any more money than necessary, the bus is the way to go.
