Costa Maya Attractions

The Costa Maya area is a popular destination among cruise these days, and tourists who visit this way will have only a short time to get out and explore.  Fortunately, there is plenty to be seen.  As home to the most Mayan archeological sites in the region, learning about the history of these mysterious people is always a possibility, while exploring the natural side of things through the tour of a nature reserve is recommended.  Finally, you won't want to miss the chance to spend at least a few hours on a local beach.


Mahahual Beach

A location with snorkeling is Tequilla Beach Club. A small beach that is often utilized as a day trip for cruisers, Tequilla Beach has a lot of amenities available including a restaurant and bar and wave runners that can be rented.

Another good option for snorkeling fans is Maya Chan Beach. A small, beautiful beach with a low-key vibe, Maya Chan Beach is great for snorkeling or just relaxing in the sand. There are lots of bright starfish scattered about, and you can even have a massage right on the shore.

Mahahual Beach: Part of the up-and-coming tourist area of Mahahual, this beach of the same name is a great spot to spend some time on the shore with family or just relaxing in the sand.
