Scuba Diving Near Costa Maya

Costa Maya is rife with small fishing villages that are not necessarily known as top dive destinations.  This is exactly why seasoned travelers visit here – for the pristine, barely visited reef which is protected by the biosphere reserve.  Under the surface of the sea here, life is calm and serene, and there are sites for all skill levels.

If you'd like to go diving, you should consider Mahahual Dive Centre. Mahahual Dive Centre offers a gateway into the natural paradise of the Great Mayan Reef, the unbelievable Punta Herrero wreck site, and the scenic Xcalak National Park. They are found within Mahahual, in central Costa Maya.

Another option is Tequila Beach Tours Scuba Diving. Equipment and complimentary drinks are included in dive prices. There are four unique dive sites to choose from: an old light house (35-50 feet), Buccaneer's Anchor (40-110 feet), 40 Cannons (55-110 feet), and The Steps (35-90 feet). A third good option is Costa Maya Tours Scuba Diving. Hosted by Costa Maya Tours, this diving excursion will lead you into the vast waters of the Mayan Reef, the world's second largest reef system. They're located in central Costa Maya.
