Playa Palencar

On Cozumel's leeward coast is Playa Palancar. The beach area is located just past a restaurant that specializes in fish dishes. The beach is a great locale for visitors who want to participate in watersports, but is not especially crowded so a quiet, calm day at the beach is a real possibility.

Located on the southwestern side of the island of Cozumel, You might want even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. This isn't just another pretty beach, it's one of the rare "quiet" beaches in Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean. Amenities and Ambiance

Although Cozumel is particularly known for beaches lined with hammocks and lounge chairs, Playa Palancar's shores are free of these accessories. There are several thatched roof umbrellas, however, to offer visitors escape from the sun. The waters are bright blue and experience varied wave patterns.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot.

Playa Palencar brings guests a quiet and peaceful place to escape, especially since the location that surrounds the beach contains little build-up and is free of urbanization.
