Playa San Martin

Located on the Isla Cozumel, Playa San Martin features a strip of soft, white sand and a beautiful view of the clear blue ocean. At almost three miles, the beach features a seemingly inexhaustible amount of room for sunbathing and lounging. The calm water is perfect for swimmers of all ages.

Situated toward the center of the island of Cozumel, Playa San Martin is on the South West coast of the island, You might want even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. If you plan to sunbathe or take a nap on a fairly secluded beach, you should venture a little farther from the city, and a little closer to Playa San Martin.

How to Access The Beach
Access to the beach is provided by the coastal road, where there are numerous areas to park. As the area is undeveloped, there is little need to worry about finding parking.

Amenities and Ambiance

Complete with panoramic views of the gorgeous tropical scenery and turquoise ocean waters, Playa San Martin is located in the crescent-shaped Punta Chiqueros cove. The lengthy beach area promises privacy and the calm waters are excellent for swimming. A small reef makes for wonderful snorkeling.

If you're suddenly hungry or thirsty, the concession stand at Playa San Martin is the ultimate convenience. If available, you could also order lunch from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up at this spot.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. During the months of May and June the Playa San Martin beach is closed to tourists because of the sea turtle breeding season. During the rest of the year, however, visitors will find these sands perfect for lounging peacefully and enjoying the view.

If you tend to prefer coasts which offer an idyllic experience, then maybe head on over to Playa San Martin; it is located in a less urban section of the region.
