Santa Pilar

Located on the northern strip of San Miguel (North of the Cozumel International Airport), Santa Pilar is a long stretch of beach that features calm, shallow waters, perfect for swimming. The area is somewhat popular with tourists, particularly as you get closer to the hotels. It is possible to visit some of the hotels or individual vendors along the shore at Santa Pilar to rent equipment for many watersport activities including snorkeling, windsurfing, and kayaking.

Lots of visitors here find that the on-site snack bar is just fine for lunch. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to buy food from one of the mobile vendors who operate at or near this spot.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. Patrons of nearby hotels often visit the Santa Pilar beach, which is located along the northern hotel strip.
