Honeymoon Beach is a public beach that requires a bit of a hike to access. Once you get there, however, you will be thrilled by the gorgeous sights. There is even a snack bar, offering drinks and food, to reward you for your small journey.

Located on the edge of Cruz Bay, a quarter mile north of the downtown area, Honeymoon Beach is on the West edge of St. John. You might think about stopping by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. Many of the beaches in the Virgin Islands are quiet and secluded, but at Honeymoon Beach, you'll find the same sense of serenity, without having to travel too far from the buzz of the city.

Amenities and Ambiance

Of course, there is also a restaurant located right on-site. Each destination around the Caribbean has its own culinary style, and the Virgin Islands is no different. One of the most memorable places to discover local delicacies is right next to the coast. So, you may wish to consider getting pre-packed lunches from your hotel if they offer them. Or, it would be easy to grab some hot food from a street vendor or casual cafe along the way.

Restrooms are available at Honeymoon Beach. The water here is of good snorkeling quality, so bring your equipment if you want to check out what lies beneath the surface.

Honeymoon Beach and its offerings for amenities are of course located within a hot tourist destination. If you would rather stay free of busy-beaches and crowded shores, it'll be a good motivator to plan your visit out and beat the crowds, maybe showing up earlier in the morning. If you wait around, you could lose the chance to completely enjoy all those comforts that the beach offers.

Chair rentals, snorkeling, and more can be found at this beach.
