Located at the Raintree Court strip mall, the Fish Trap actually began as a Mexican Restaurant called the Raintree Restaurant and Lounge. After several years chef Phil Hoffman and his innovative thinking came along and soon the transformation began. Now, the Fish Trap is a popular seafood restaurant and market that serves up the freshest sea-inspired dishes on the island.

The Fish Trap always serves up the freshest seafood available.

Among other options, the menu features seafood, and a variety of diverse flavors, including influences from both Caribbean and International cuisines. Most guests consider the level of formality and service here to be very casual. The option to eat here is on the table during both dinner and lunch, so make time to try it.

The mood at the Fish Trap is cool and casual. Dining is available out on the covered patio, or inside at the mahogany bar which features hand painted tiles. The walls are decorated in funky art work, and a flat-screen television is constantly playing whatever sport is broadcasting.

The Fish Trap is situated near the center of downtown Cruz Bay.

This section of St. John has various camera-worthy sites, earning its place as a vivacious destination. Some of the closest landmark sites from this particular dining option include Ivan Jadan Museum and Franklin Powell Park, both of which are within a reasonable driving distance of the The Fish Trap.
