Beaches on Culebra

There are eight beaches along the coast of Culebra, all with wide shores, but ranging in the types of sand.  They include dark brown, coral pink, and powder white.  All feature quiet shores and strikingly blue waters made even more special by the tropical birds squawking and the frogs croaking from the interior.

Pick Your Ideal Beach

You'll find an abundance of beaches to enjoy on the island. Snorkeling is available at some of the beaches, if some of the people in your group are so inclined. To get additional information concerning a single beach simply click on the names of the ones you are interested in.

Flamenco Beach

Playa Tortuga: Making up a cove on the small uninhabited island of Culebrita, Playa Tortuga has some very calm waters. Turn around, and you will be able to hike a while in the center of the island until coming to other beaches.

Another place for beach-goers to consider is Playa Punta de Soldado. The road leading to Playa Punta Soldado is reminiscent of a desert, lined with sandy dirt and cacti. An all-terrain vehicle is recommended.

Playa Luis Pena: A well known kayaking spot, Playa Luis Pena's clear calm ocean is the perfect shove off point for anyone looking to explore the tropical waters of Puerto Rico. Don't worry if you're not into kayaking though, this beautiful beach works just fine for sun-tanning and swimming.
