A reminder of when the U.S. military used the island as a gunnery, an abandoned tank sits on the sand of this beach. It is rusted over and in complete disrepair, but the local art community continually keeps it beautiful by painting over it.
Consider staying on Isla de Culebra if you plan on visiting Flemenco Tank, as visitors to this area of Puerto Rico will be pleased to have easy site access throughout their trip. There is a reasonable amount of lodgings around the neighborhood around this historical site.
