Located on the island of Isla de Culebra, You might want even if you aren't staying very close. Do you dream of finding a beach tucked into an untouched part of town? Many visitors seek a beach that's a long way from the nearest major city; beaches less-traveled like Playa Carlos Rosario are usually more relaxing than those overrun with fellow travelers.

How to Access The Beach
Playa Carlos Rosario is accessible through a chain-link fence in the back left had corner of the Flamenco Beach Parking lot. Simply follow the dirt trail that begins at the gate for about one mile.

Amenities and Ambiance

Carlos Rosario is more natural looking than the more well-visited beaches on Culebra, with thorns bushes lining the back of the beach, and rocks and ocean debris in the sand. The water, though, is cool, calm, and clear.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside. Happily, the off-shore waters are clear enough for snorkeling, so bring along some equipment if you want to check out what lies beneath the surface.

If you happen to choose shores which offer visitors a peaceful place to escape, then a good choice for you is Playa Carlos Rosario; it is back within a more natural sector of the region.
