Located on the island of Culebrita, Playa Tortuga is on the North East coast of the island, You should think about stopping by whether or not you are staying in the immediate vicinity. Even active vacationers with jam-packed itineraries will discover advantages to finding a beach that hasn't been "discovered" by thousands of tourists; relatively untouched parts of the coast like Playa Tortuga make great places to spread out and relax.
The only way to reach the beach is via boat or seaplane. It is extremly popular though, and it will be easy to find a tour or charter that will take you here.

Playa Tortuga is very close to, so a trip into the city——for snacks, drinks, and other attractions——is a convenient option. The city of Culebra Pueblo is close-by and is in an area with plenty of worthwhile sites, while still remaining less developed and congested as some other places.
