Landhuis Ascencion is a plantation house that was built in 1672. In 1965 it became a training center for the Royal Navy, but in recent years it has been restored to show how life was lived on the island in the 17th century.
There is an open house every first Sunday of the month, and each Thursday at 9 a.m., guests can enjoy tours. Nature walks on the property are also available over the weekend.

You won't find the area surrounding the museum flooded with tourists, particularly since there is only a small number of lodgings close.
