Tourists flock to this beach, and for good reason. Diving and snorkeling are great here, and there is an on-location dive equipment shop available. Though even more than that, people come here to relax in the sun with friends and family, and hang out at the popular seaside restaurant.

Because Playa Porto Mari is such a popular spot, there are numerous facilities and activities available here. These include the aforementioned restaurant, the Beach Bar and Restaurant which serves grill favorites and mixed drinks -- the perfect accompaniment to a day at the beach. Another important attraction here is the Seru Mateo Trail which has historic as well as athletic significance to the people of Curacao. Additionally, the beach hosts the Curacao Off-Road Triathalon each year, so if you're vacationing here between the months of October and November, you may want to check and see if it will take place during your stay.

There is a $3(USD) entrance fee, but the availability of such a unique diving landscape, beach chairs, and a covered picnic area makes most agree that the price is worth admission.

Positioned just outside the heart of the island of Curacao, in the vicinity of St. Willibrordus, Playa Porto Mari is on the West coast of the island, You might want even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity.
