Playa Santa Cruz is somewhat rare in that it is not very commercialized and still has some good facilities. There is volleyball and, like much of Curacao, quality opportunities for snorkeling and diving. Entrance is free and accessible everyday, and you can take a water taxi from here out to more secluded spots for snorkeling and diving.
Situated on the island of Curacao, 1.2 miles south-southeast of Lagun, You should think about stopping by even if you aren't staying nearby. Those of you who want the best of both worlds——a sense of seclusion, but the option for activity—— should give Playa Santa Cruz a try. It's a little bit removed from Curaçao's urban areas, but it's not totally secluded either.
The beach is located south of Langun. If you're coming south from there, take your second dirt road right. Follow that directly to the shore.
The beach is wide, creating plenty of space for all visitors to carve out their own special spot in the sun for the day. There are a number of thatched huts for lounging under, and lots of nice, cream-colored sand to dig your feet into. The water is perfectly clear and calm, great for a dip in the water when you get a little too hot.
Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot.

Playa Santa Cruz is in thearea, so travelers staying in town won't have far to go. Westpunt is nearby and is a region with interesting things to do, yet is never overly congested.
The popularity of this spot on any given day can vary, it depends on several things: the season, the weather, even how packed the nearby hotels are. There aren't many large hotels nearby, but it's sometimes enjoyed by visitors from smaller accommodations in the area.
