Time in Curaçao

Curaçao is a colorful and vibrant destination visited by travelers from throughout the world. Travelers from North and South America are unlikely to have trouble adjusting to the time change. The time change for travelers from Europe and other places will be more significant, however.

Like much of the Caribbean, Curaçao is on Atlantic Standard Time, and does not observe daylight savings time. Atlantic Standard Time is four hours behind Greenwich Mean Time, placing Curaçao four hours behind London, and five or six hours behind most of Europe.

Typically, Curaçao is one hour ahead of the eastern coast of the United States, which is on Eastern Standard Time. However, during daylight savings time in the United States, Eastern Daylight Time matches that of the Atlantic Standard Time. The following is a list of times throughout the world when it is noon in Curaçao.

At 12:00 p.m. in Curaçao

City Called Local Time
Brussels 5:00 p.m. (plus 1 hour in daylight savings)
Amsterdam 5:00 p.m. (plus 1 hour in daylight savings)
Hong Kong 12:00 a.m. (next day)
Istanbul 6:00 p.m. (plus 1 hour in daylight savings)
Los Angeles 8:00 a.m. (plus 1 hour in daylight savings)
London 4:00 p.m.
Madrid 5:00 p.m. (plus 1 hour in daylight savings)
Moscow 7:00 p.m. (plus 1 hour in daylight savings)
Paris 5:00 p.m. (plus 1 hour in daylight savings)
Sydney 3:00 a.m. (minus 1 hour in daylight savings)
Tokyo 1:00 a.m. (next day)

Although traveling over long distances can occasionally prove to be rough on vacationer's sense of time, the effects of jet lag should be tempered by the bright colors and warm sun in Curaçao.
