Anse Riffiet

One of the longer beaches in Guadeloupe, Anse Riffiet offers plenty of room for visitors, though mostly serves the residential area around the beach. Nonetheless, anyone looking to escape the crowds will find the beach more than sufficient.

Set on the western edge of Rifflet, 1.2 miles northwest of Cafeiere, Anse Riffiet is on the North edge of Basse-Terre. You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying very close. Guadeloupe's beaches are hardly known for being secluded, but Anse Riffiet is a little bit further from the crowds, making it a good pick for those of you who want to stay away from big crowds, but still get the most out of their beach visit.

How to Access The Beach
As the main Northern Coastal Highway: N-2, passes through Riffiet, a road to the West will take you right to the beach. If staying in Riffiet, you could probably walk, though anywhere else a care will be needed.

Encased by walls of trees on three sides, and wavy water on the fourth, Anse Riffiet gives the feeling of seclusion even though you are just feet from neighborhoods and communities.

Of course, you could always try the shoreside restaurant right on Anse Riffiet, which is the ultimate convenience for beachgoers. Each country in the Caribbean has its own culinary style, and Guadeloupe is no different. One truly memorable place to enjoy the local fare is right next to the coast. Did you know that some hotels are happy to pack picnic lunches for their guests? Otherwise, there are plenty of walk-up vendors that offer hot, on-the-go food.
