On an island known for having a different beach for every day of the year, noting that one beach is the best is really saying something. Dickinson Bay is one section of beachfront property that is considered to be, if not one of the best, in the running for top three. The great thing about it is that it is easily accessible and has a little something for every type of beachgoer. The downside is that the beaches here are always very busy, but if you travel just north you'll find a few stretches of sand that are slightly more secluded.
You'll find an abundance of beaches to visit in and around the area. Snorkeling is an option at some of these beaches, for vacationers who are so inclined. Click on the name of each beach for detailed information about that part of the coast.
Soldier Bay West: Soldier Bay West is an isolated beach, hiding itself between big name beach resorts and waiting to be discovered by the island's more curious visitors.
Another place worth considering is Soldier Bay East. Boasting calm bay waters and incredibly soft soft sand, this is a typical beautiful Caribbean beach. There are soft ocean beds for swimming and wading and some good snorkeling on the west side of the beach.
Fort James Beach: Head West on Fort Road until you get to the coast and then head South towards the cape just a little and you'll be at the best spot to to enjoy Fort Beach. Parking and amenities available.
