On an island known for having a different beach for every day of the year, noting that one beach is the best is really saying something. Dickinson Bay is one section of beachfront property that is considered to be, if not one of the best, in the running for top three. The great thing about it is that it is easily accessible and has a little something for every type of beachgoer. The downside is that the beaches here are always very busy, but if you travel just north you'll find a few stretches of sand that are slightly more secluded.
You will discover a large number of beaches to consider in and around the area. Snorkeling is an option at some locations, for visitors who enjoy this relaxing pastime. You can click on the beach names to get additional information about that specific beach.
Soldier Bay West: There is an unpaved road that leads to this beach. You can access it off of Cedar Grove Main Road.
A second alternative for beach-goers to consider is Soldier Bay East. The public can access this beach from a dirt road off of Cedar Grove Main Road. It's the second left after Marble Hill Road if you're heading north.
Fort James Beach: Head West on Fort Road until you get to the coast and then head South towards the cape just a little and you'll be at the best spot to to enjoy Fort Beach. Parking and amenities available.
