Runaway Beach is on Antigua's western coast and features rocky Corbinson Point on it's north end and a salt water pond on it's inland edge. It's the perfect beach for a sunset stroll.
There is also a snack bar here. Sometimes, visitors will be able to get lunch from one of the local vendors who operate at or near this spot.
Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. Luckily, beach umbrellas can be used by visitors looking for a place to relax in the shade. The water here is fit for snorkeling, so bring along some equipment if you're looking to see some exciting marine life. Runaway Beach is a peaceful area usually populated by honeymooners and famillies, so there's a good mix of people. For bigger crowds, visitors can walk to neighboring Dickinson's Bay.
Even so, be sure to see that even if there are definitely some forms of comforts present while at Runaway Beach, it happens to be found in a commonly visited area. If you want to stay away from crowded shores and busy-beaches, it is a decent idea to think ahead for times when there are less people, such as heading to the beach for a breakfast picnic and cool swim.
