Things to See and Do While Staying at Roots Jungle Retreat

While jam-packing your days with activities can be fun, it isn't required for a fun time on Dominica. Thus, while Roots Jungle Retreat doesn't have much in the way of recreational opportunities, it may nevertheless provide precisely the setting you're looking for.

Family Activities

You can certainly bring your younger travelers along to Roots Jungle Retreat, but there aren't a lot of amenities that are specifically targeted at families. To look instead at some properties that are focused on catering to families traveling with kids, you might want to consider properties rated best for family vacations.

For adventurous families, Roots Jungle Retreat makes the perfect accommodation. And it's safe too: no nasty critters or dangerous animals. And hardly any mosquitos either. The kids will love playing in the river, exploring the jungle and roasting marshmallows on the campfire while listening to Capt Pats famous pirates stories. However, as we have an elevated eating deck and lots of stairs, we don't recommend bringing children younger than 8 years of age. Also remember, there's no Playstation, television or McDonalds.

Entertainment and Nightlife

If the difference between a great getaway and a boring trip means finding trendy nightspots and unlimited live shows, then Roots Jungle Retreat isn't the best choice for you. The B & B is usually rather subdued at night.

Fortunately, there's one bar on-site. This gives guests the chance to grab a cold beverage. and kick back during their vacation.

Other

Active travelers vacationing on Dominica can almost always find some nice opportunities for outside exploration. You and your group might prefer to set out by yourselves, but you can also book a day trip through a local guide.
