Iguanario Los Tocones

The threatened Rhinoceros Iguana can find a safe haven at the Iguanario Los Tocones, or simply, The Iguana Farm. Oddly, the iguanas are threatened not because of human development or because of predators, but because they are sought after aggressively by zoos around the world. Native to Haiti and the Dominican Republic, the Iguana Farm takes Rhinoceros Iguanas bred in captivity and slowly reintroduces them to their native home.

Guests who pay for admission will be able to explore the exhibits and learn all there is to know about the iguanas.

Iguanario Los Tocones is located west of Arroyo Del Cabo, a village in the Samana Peninsula; it is to the west-southwest of Las Galeras.
