Isla Saona

Set just of he coast of the Parque Nacional del Este, Isla Saona is one of the most popular beach excursions in the Dominican Republic. You can visit this island as a part of a tour, or hire a local fisherman to take you, then spend a day relaxing on the warm sand and splashing around in the gentle surf.

Located in the Eastern side of the Dominican Republic, Isla Saona is on the South East coast of Hispaniola. You might think about stopping by regardless of whether you're staying nearby. If you're looking for a quiet part of the coast, away from crowded tourist attractions, you should consider going off the beaten path to Isla Saona.

At 14 miles long and three miles wide, there is plenty of shore to share and explore on Isla Saona. Of course, the beach itself is a beauty with fluffy white sands and dazzlingly blue waters which are home to bountiful marine life. Starfish, manatees, turtles, dolphins, and even sharks all swim these waters.

You won't have to worry about finding a bathroom at Isla Saona because there are public restrooms. Additionally, you'll be able to enjoy the use of lounge chairs at this beach. The water in the area is clear enough for snorkeling, so grab your gear if you want to check out what lies beneath the surface.

Tourist that are hoping to take full advantage of the comforts provided at this location, will be thankful; Isla Saona is found in an area which is not often visited by crowds. Thus failing to obtain an unused convenience at the beach is not something you will have to go through when coming to the beach, no matter what the time is when you get there.
