Playa Arriba

The long shore at Playa Ariba is perfect for anyone looking for a nice place to walk, and the clam cool water make it great for a swim. Despite the size, do not expect much privacy, as the beach is very open.

Positioned in the Eastern side of the Dominican Republic, 1.0 mile east of Miches, Playa Arriba is on the East coast of Hispaniola. You might want to drop by even if you aren't staying nearby.

How to Access The Beach
When heading East out of El Centro, you cross over a bridge. As soon as the bridge ends, there is a road called "Calle Pedro A. Morel de Santa Cruz", it is the first possible turn you can take. If you turn left onto it (North) it will dead end at Playa Arriba, where you can park right on the sand.

Amenities and Ambiance

Playa Ariba is flat, smooth, and clean, with a line of trees helping block it from the road. While you will not find much on the beach itself, there is a few building where you should be able to grab a bite to eat.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.
