Playa Bahia de Las Aguilas

One of the most remote and natural beaches in the Dominican Republic, Playa Bahia de La Aguilas is also readily accessible. Located right in the Jaragua National Park, the beach is both protected and part of a unique tourist attraction on the island. Eco-tourists will definitely be pleased with a beach seemingly established just for them.

Situated in the Western side of the Dominican Republic, Playa Bahia de Las Aguilas is on the South West coast of the Dominican Republic. You should consider dropping by whether or not you are staying very close. Playa Bahia de Las Aguilas stands out because it's perfect for escaping the hustle of the Dominican Republic's urban areas. Other nearby beaches in the Dominican Republic may be just as breezy and refreshing, but are usually more cramped since they're found in the most popular parts of town.

How to Access The Beach
Visitors to the national park can use the official roads in the park, which lead right up to the beach. The roads are, however, dirt roads; so be sure to have a sturdy car.

Amenities and Ambiance

While the natural beach does have plenty of trees and vegetation growing on the sand, it is not overrun; just enough to offer some shade on a hot day. To further cool off, visitors can head into the sparkling water that lets off a beautiful green-blue gem color.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun.

Playa Bahia de Las Aguilas offers visitors a calm and peaceful haven, thanks to the fact that the surrounding region is away from most urbanization.
