Used mainly by the locals and the few people staying in the area, Playa Ensenada is a neat little hot-spot on the remote end of the island. With strings of shops lining the beach selling everything from food to crafts, this beach-community center is a neat place to take a dip and meet new people.

Located in the Western side of the Dominican Republic, Playa Ensenada is on the North edge of the Dominican Republic. You should think about stopping by even if you are not staying in the vicinity.

Despite the shacks lining the shore, natural and pristine beaches come with the region, and Playa Ensenada is no different. The tranquil beach sounds and the gentle hustle of the shops behind you if the perfect company for a warm nap.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. Happily, the off-shore waters are fit for snorkeling, so grab your equipment if you want to see the underwater world.
