Used mainly by the locals and the few people staying in the area, Playa Ensenada is a neat little hot-spot on the remote end of the island. With strings of shops lining the beach selling everything from food to crafts, this beach-community center is a neat place to take a dip and meet new people.

Set in the Western side of the Dominican Republic, Playa Ensenada is on the North coast of the Dominican Republic. You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying very close.

Amenities and Ambiance

Despite the shacks lining the shore, natural and pristine beaches come with the region, and Playa Ensenada is no different. The tranquil beach sounds and the gentle hustle of the shops behind you if the perfect company for a warm nap.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. Fortunately, the water here is clear enough for snorkeling, so grab some gear if you want to see the underwater world.

Playa Ensenada grants a calm and tranquil retreat, due to the fact that the region surrounding the beach is away from most urbanization.
