Used mainly by the locals and the few people staying in the area, Playa Ensenada is a neat little hot-spot on the remote end of the island. With strings of shops lining the beach selling everything from food to crafts, this beach-community center is a neat place to take a dip and meet new people.

Located in the Western side of the Dominican Republic, Playa Ensenada is on the North edge of the Dominican Republic. You should consider stopping by regardless of whether you are staying in the vicinity.

Amenities and Ambiance

Despite the shacks lining the shore, natural and pristine beaches come with the region, and Playa Ensenada is no different. The tranquil beach sounds and the gentle hustle of the shops behind you if the perfect company for a warm nap.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. Fortunately, the water here is of good snorkeling quality, so grab your gear if you're wanting to check out the underwater sites.

If you like shores that offer a calm haven, then think about trying out Playa Ensenada; it's located within a more natural area of the Dominican Republic.
