Playa Gen

Playa Gen is one of the lesser visited beaches, but only because of its distance from most major cities in the nation. However, it you happen to be visiting the area, then Playa Gen is not a bad choice to visit too.

Located in the Western side of the Dominican Republic, 2.3 miles northwest of Gaspar Hernandez, Playa Gen is on the North coast of the Dominican Republic. You should consider dropping by even if you aren't staying very close. If you plan to sunbathe or take a nap on a fairly secluded beach, you should venture a little farther from the city, and a little closer to Playa Gen.

How to Access The Beach
Playa Gen is located just off of Route 5 when heading West out of Barrio Candor.

Amenities and Ambiance

On the northern coast, Playa Gen gets a bit rougher waters than most beaches on the island, though it is still safe to swim in. Though if you wanted to stay away from rough waters, you will still be able to swim in the river that cuts right through the beach.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline.

Playa Gen brings guests a quiet and peaceful enclave, especially since the area surrounding the beach is not heavily urbanized.
