Playa Grande Golf Course

The course is completely secluded save a few residences and the golf resort. By far, the most unforgettable aspect here is its location atop the breathtaking cliffs of the northern coast. The course is laid out all along the coast, and ocean vistas seem to stretch on forever. In the opposite direction are the hills and mountains of the island's interior. Fortunately, the course doesn't waste it's unbelievable location by offering sub-par golf. The course is challenging, and stiff winds can be problematic. Nevertheless, golfers of a variety of still levels should be able to manage.

Course Description

This golf course could be considered an established spot to play some holes, having been founded in 1997. The lay of the land, holes, and surprise challenges were created by Robert Trent Jones Sr, the lead architect of Playa Grande Golf Course. It has a course rating of 72.3, and its 18 holes stretch out a length of 6295 yards.

The Playa Grande course is one of the more stunning courses imaginable. It is located in the lush, tropical surroundings of the Dominican Republic's northern coast. The course begins on the beach, and makes its way alongside the 60 foot cliffs overlooking the ocean. Palm trees and an abundance of other native vegetation surround the course.
