Playa Limon

Going on for miles, Playa Limon is an incredibly long beach. Yet, for its impressive length, it is nearly completely remote, with only one easily accessible entrance. As long as you are looking for a secluded beach that seemingly never ends with no amenities to speak of, then Playa Limon is as good an option as they get.

Located in the Eastern side of the Dominican Republic, 3.5 miles northwest of Las Lisas, Playa Limon is on the East coast of Hispaniola. You should think about stopping by even if you are not staying nearby.

How to Access The Beach
The easiest way to reach the beach is to travel the highway between Miches and the small community of Las Lisas. When heading East, you will pass the rural town of El Cedro. While exiting the town you will cross the bridge and then a dirt road on the left. A bit further down the road is a major dirt road that heads north. If you take it, you will end up at the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

With such a long coast, it is surprising that the beach stays relatively the same throughout. Backed by a large a small forest, there is absolute privacy from the road. On notable feature is the small river that starts at the beach, and can also be swam in.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. You will find the water here is clear enough for snorkeling, so bring your equipment if you're wanting to check out the underwater sites.

If you find that you desire sunny days that offer visitors a quiet haven, then you may want to try Playa Limon; it's back within a more rural area of the region.
