This large beach is a bit away from the crowds, making it a good choice for those looking for some seclusion. The compromise though is a darker beach and darker water.
Set in the vicinity of Santo Domingo, south of Nigua, Playa los Cuadritos is on the South coast of the Dominican Republic. You might want to drop by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. The surrounding area is not stuffed with visitors, but that is not to say you won't find things to do here.
Playa los Cuadritos has several large rocks and sandbars out in the sea, which helps calm down the water by time it reaches the shore. This makes the beach good for some light swimming and wading.

If you find that you choose shores that grant an angelic environment, then a good choice for you is Playa los Cuadritos; it's tucked away within a less urban area of the Dominican Republic.
Found on the Dominican Republic's South coast; this area boasts other attractions such as Palacio de Cerro, which is one of the closest attractions to visit.
Beaches and museums may seem an odd combination to some, but at least a few travelers find that museums like Museo Bellapart (positioned just a cab ride away) offer a fun learning experience and help share a different side of the Dominican Republic.

The closest part of the Dominican Republic to Playa los Cuadritos is. This section in the Dominican Republic is in an area with interesting things to do and see, but isn't as sprawling and crowded as some other areas.
The number of other people sharing spots in the sand can vary widely, depending on time of day, season, and how many of the nearby hotel rooms have been booked. Playa los Cuadritos is not near very many major hotels, but you may meet guests from some of the smaller accommodations in the area.

Another location you may want to try is Boca Chica, which is located 30 miles away. Boca Chica is a haven for social butterflies and party goers, as well as families. The shallow, calm waters and sugary white beach are perfect for children and adults, while the local bars and singles crowds are strictly adults-only. Whatever your age, Boca Chica has plenty of activities and attractions to suit any taste.
Of course, there are lots of other things to do and see in the Dominican Republic; then again, Playa los Cuadritos is both a beautiful natural attraction, and a fun hangout spot.
